The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is a capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore computing, and to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python.

RPi is not just one computer, but a family. The most recent model is the Raspberry Pi 4, but other models include the RPi 3 Model B+, Model A, the RPi Zero and the RPi Zero WiFi.

Most models are capable of doing everything you would expect a desktop computer to do, from browsing the internet and playing high-definition video, to making spreadsheets, word-processing, and playing games. The Raspberry Pi has sold tens of millions of units across the world and is used by everyone from hackers, to engineers, students, hobbyists and scientists.
